Title: DUAL DREAMSCAPE 1992.02 Approx. 80 cm x 200 cm x 40 cm Polarizing filters; cellophane, plexiglass housing, motor, light source, audio source and amplifier, electrical switches. Fourth, and most ambitious work in a series of polarized light imaging machines (P.L.I.M.). This piece consisted of two separate "image plates" (50 cm in diameter), each of which rotated through 360 degrees, thus producing two sets of continuously changing images. The largest work in the series, the motors which controlled rotation could be independently varied for speed, and the volume of the accompanying audio track could be also be adjusted. This piece was exhibited in the "Free Space Exhibition" Citizens Art Gallery (VITS, 1992), Toyota, Japan and also in the 30th Annual Toyota Citizens Art Exhibition (Toyota Civic Center), and was awarded the Toyota Motor Corporation Award. Destroyed by fire at the artist's house.
