Title: HARMONIOUS MOMENT 2005.04 / Dimensions: 199 cm x 191 cm x 16 cm
Illuminated Mixed-media assemblage depicting sky, tropical island, ocean surface and coral reef below the surface. Work incororates real shells, starfish, and fan coral along with fabricated ocean creatures (painted wood, polymer clay), as well as other materials, e.g., netting, string, paper maché, dried acrylic paint, sand, wire, translucent plastic, painted canvas on wooden frame, and LEDs on automatic timer. Exhibited in the 43 Annual Toyota Citizens Art Exhibition, Toyota Municipal Art Museum (TMMA), Toyota City, Japan. After exhibition, moved to 2nd floor of Library at Aichi Gakusen University for semi-permanent exhibition. See detail photos below.
