Mixed-media assemblages incorporating natural objects (ammonite fossil casts, shells, various seed pods called "bush nuts" from the Australian outback, polished agate), metallic disks and rods, wire coils, and small wooden objects arranged in "boxes" of which the back surfaces are pieces of plywood scarred by a laser cutting tool (industrial waste). The title makes reference to the connection between the invisible world of quanta, the discrete packets of energy transferred between the elementary particles of matter, and the visible world of Nature, upon which the human world depends.
